Arsenal Football Club has announced that winger, Noni Madueke, will be out of action for at least eight weeks over an injury sustained during last weekend’s pulsating Premier League clash against Manchester City.
Madueke was in the starting eleven against the Mancunians but only lasted the opening half after which he was taken off on what has been disclosed to be a knee injury.
Sequel to a scan on the 23-year-old who featured well in all Arsenal’s six games this season, manager, Mikael Arteta, disclosed that the forward will only return in November, posing a threat to Arsenal’s quest to winning a trophy this season.
Madueke will miss his side’s EFL Cup game against Port Vale on Wednesday as well as a huge Premier League trip to Newcastle, and London derbies against West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace.
He will also miss Gunners’ fixtures against promoted sides, Burnley and Sunderland as well as Olympiakos, Atletico Madrid and Slavia Prague in the Champions League.
The Englishman will also be sidelined for his country’s games against Wales and Latvia and also a doubt for Serbia and Albania World Cup qualifiers.
