Troops of the Nigerian Army, in coordination with local vigilantes and hunters, have disrupted Boko Haram operations across the North East by arresting two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in separate locations in Adamawa State.
The suspects, 28-year-old Ismail Muhammed and 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula, were apprehended by troops of Sector 4 under 28 Task Force Brigade, working alongside local security agents.
Muhammed was apprehended in the Visik General area of Hong LGA, Adamawa State, while Gubula was arrested at Madagali Motor Park.
Items recovered during these operations include two AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements, loaded magazine, two aerial drones, drone accessories, 20 solar power banks. and assorted foodstuffs.
Elsewhere in Sector 2, troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working with local vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu, Borno State, and neutralized a terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions. Logistic items were also recovered during this operation.
Officials reaffirmed that these missions are part of sustained efforts to disrupt Boko Haram supply lines, restore security, and protect communities across the North-East.
The Military High Command commended the troops for their sacrifices and dedication in the fight against terrorism and urged them to sustain the operational tempo.
