The lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr. Oluranti Adebule, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and mutual respect as Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

She described the Ramadan period as a time of deep reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed faith in Allah, urging adherents to sustain the virtues cultivated during the fasting period beyond the celebration.

According to the former deputy governor of Lagos State, values such as patience, humility, love, and generosity remain critical to fostering a peaceful and progressive society.

Adebule further stressed the need for Nigerians to promote unity and peaceful coexistence irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, noting that the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr should catalyze national harmony and renewed commitment to development.

In a goodwill message to Muslim faithful in her constituency, Lagos West, and the nation at large on Thursday, Adebule congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of Ramadan, commending their devotion, sacrifice, and commitment to spiritual growth.

While acknowledging the prevailing security and socio-economic challenges confronting the country, the lawmaker urged citizens not to despair but to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of efforts to restore peace and stability nationwide.

She expressed confidence in the ability of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to address the nation’s challenges, just as she urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace, progress, and prosperity.

The senator also charged leaders at all levels to uphold the principles of good governance, transparency, and dedicated service to the people, adding that the Eid celebration presents an opportunity for reflection and recommitment to justice, fairness, and equity.

Adebule wished Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, praying that Allah accepts their fasting, prayers, and sacrifices, and grants blessings of happiness, good health, and abundance to every home.
