Abiru cautions Nigerians against violence, other criminalities

The senator representing Lagos-East senatorial district, Tokunbo Abiru, has urged Nigerians to replicate the message of the Easter season by eschewing violence and embrace harmonious relationships across the country.

Abiru added that Nigerians should use the season to renew their determination towards living in harmony and show tolerance to one another irrespective of their faith in the country.

In an Easter message released to newsmen, the lawmaker stated that the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ should be considered by Nigerians particularly Christians as a key foundation and a seal of hope to engage in whatever bring good to all.

He noted that the challenges confronting the nation required that everyone unite and pray for God’s intervention to assist the leadership pilot Nigeria’s affairs towards a path that brings good to all irrespective of their ethnic group.

Abiru said: “I also enjoin us to continue to pray for God’s interventions in the state of affairs of our dear nation. The challenges daunting but not insurmountable if we earnestly cry out to God”.

According to him, I pray that the blessings of Easter will continue to abide with you and yours this season and beyond. Ameen.
