80 COVID-19 patients leave Edo isolation centers

The Edo State Government has disclosed the discharge of additional eighty coronaviruses after testing negative consecutively for the viral infection.

It said that the 80 former coronavirus patients had been treated in various isolation centers and certified free of the virus before they were reunited with their families and loved ones.

The State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, said the development brings to 498 the total number of successfully treated and discharged patients in various isolation centers across the state.

The Governor, through a statement released to newsmen on Friday, revealed that the state coronavirus fatalities has risen to 43.

“We have discharged 80 more COVID-19 patients from our isolation centers. The number of discharges now stands at 498 persons.

“We lost one more person to the virus, bringing the number of fatalities to 43. Stay safe and protect our aged parents, who are most endangered,” he said.
