The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, is set to inaugurate its electoral committee and electoral appeals ahead of its forthcoming elections.
The NFF disclosed that the initiative will signal the formal commencement of the committee’s duties in the overseeing of the election in its bid to ensure compliance to regulations in line with the federation’s statuses.
The body stated that the event to be held at the federation’s secretariat in Abuja on April 2, and presided over by its president, Ibrahim Gusau, will witness the confirmation of Matthew Burkala, Justice Aneke, Emmanuel Obafemi, Babagoni Gremia, Benjamin Sak, Mallam Musa, Abdulmalik Awwal, Arinze Anughere, Akogun Omole, Abayomi Omoyimi, Ayibaye Temedie and Ayi Ukpauam, all as the committee’s personnel.
Seven of the aforementioned will be named to the Electoral Committee which will include chairperson, a vice chairperson and three ordinary members with two serving as alternatives.
Five others will be appointed to the electoral appeal committee, comprising three full members and two alternatives.
The NFF enjoined the committees to carry out their activities with transparency, fairness and adherence to regulatory provisions, It added that the measure will provide a structured framework to manage cases of electoral disputes.
