Nwabali resigns from S-African club amid team’s poor results

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has departed South African league club, Chippa United.

Nwabali was said to have submitted a written request to leave Chippa, after which a termination of his contract at the club was agreed on, taking effect immediately.

The club, in a statement, disclosed that it had a dialogue with the 29-year-old and will leave the club which he joined in 2022 from Nigerian league side, Katsina United, the goalie stating that the search for a new team has begun.

”Chippa United Football Club confirms that Stanley Nwabalihas formally submitted a request to depart,” the statement released on Thursday, begins.

”After careful consideration, the club released me. has agreed to grant his,” the circular and proceeded further, ”We would like to sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for the years of service, commitment and professionalism he has shown during his time at Chippa United Football. His contributions to the club will always be appreciated.

The Nigerian, in his four-year stint at the club amassed 66 appearances for the South African club, ensuring at least 25 clean sheets.
