20 soldiers die after military plane crashes in Georgia

The Turkish authorities have disclosed that 20 of its soldiers have died after it’s military plane crashed in Georgia.
 
The defence ministry said that the C-130 military cargo plane conveying the military men from Azerbaijan was initially out of sight but was later seen spiraling into ground and erupting black smoke, leading to rescue teams and other safety agencies rushing to the scene, but met all the soldiers dead.
 
The crash of the plane, manufactured in 1968 caused wreckage which spread across a big plain which had farmlands surrounded by hills, with its debris scattered across multiple locations. 
 
”The military personnels were part of a unit that had traveled to Azerbaijan to take part in the country’s Victory Day celebrations on Saturday,” Turkish President, Recep Erdogan said.
 
”The flight’s data has been recovered and inspections are underway to determine the cause of the crash.”
”Our heroic comrades-in-arms were martyred on November 11, 2025, when our C-130 military cargo plane, which had taken off in Azerbaijan en-route to our country, crashed near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border,” Defence minister, Yasar Guler said on Wednesday.
