No fewer than 11 people have tragically died after a moving train hit railway workers in a Chinese province.
The seismic equipment testing train collided with the victims who were on a construction activity on the railtrack causing their death and also injuring two others.
The incident was said to have caused gridlock, prompting road officials deployed to the scene to restore normal vehicular movement and also restore calmness and order.
Following the incident which happened at Luoyang Town station, Yunnan, during early hours of Thursday, the Kunming Railway Bureau issued a statement disclosing that the injured victims were rushed to the hospital for medical intervention.
The authorities disclosed that investigations have begun to unravel the cause of the clash.
